EASCTC takes pride in its commitment to providing a top-notch education and preparing students for rewarding careers in the UBC. Accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), our apprenticeship programs offer numerous advantages to students, both during their time at EASCTC and beyond.
Benefits for EASCTC Students
- Industry-Recognized Excellence: COE accreditation assures students that EASCTC adheres to rigorous quality standards, ensuring a comprehensive and up-to-date curriculum. This recognition enhances the reputation of our graduates in the job market, setting them apart from their peers.
- Enhanced Career Opportunities: By completing an accredited apprenticeship program, EASCTC students gain a competitive edge when entering the job market. Employers value the hands-on experience and industry-specific training our apprentices receive, leading to enhanced career prospects and higher earning potential.
- Transferable College Credits: Accreditation by COE allows EASCTC students to earn college credits during their apprenticeship. These credits can be transferred to affiliated/ partnered universities, accelerating their progress towards a bachelor's degree and saving both time and money. EASCTC's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with partnered universities ensures a smooth transfer of credit process.
- Credit Award for Program Completion: EASCTC Apprentices can expect to receive up to 65-credits MillCab program, 54-credits Carpenter program, 54-credits Floor Layer program, and 74-credits Millwright program. Totals will vary based on the level of university partnership with EASCTC. These partnerships are available upon request. Individual credit award will be at the discretion of partner university admissions officials and year of apprenticeship completion of the UBC member.
Students who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree in a related field can seamlessly transition to a partnered university without losing credits, allowing for a streamlined academic progression.
