ABOUT US

Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Centers helps students unlock their potential for success in the construction industry with cutting-edge training programs.

High-Quality, Technical Training for the Construction Industry

The Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Centers is committed to training the most highly skilled and efficient work force necessary to remain competitive in today’s construction market. We provide our students with state-of-the art training opportunities that employ the most current trends in educational technology and in our industries. Students will learn the aptitude, skills, and knowledge needed to have a successful career. Our main training location in Philadelphia was established in 1945 through the US Department of Labor. Since then, we have continued to grow and improve. We currently have seven other training centers servicing Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The EASCTC believes that education and training determine the degree of employability for its members. Our training program is sponsored entirely through employer contributions, and consists of classroom instruction, technical training, and on-the-job training. Each location has a training facility that simulates an on-the-job environment, providing the participant with a hands-on approach to learn required skills. Our training programs have worked hard to develop a high-quality construction workforce for over 75 years, consistently challenging the industry standards to evolve and improve. When provided with the skills, knowledge and technology required in today’s construction industry, the union carpenter will remain unsurpassed in performance and superiority.

Our Mission

The mission of the Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Centers is to provide state-of-the-art training for members of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC). We transfer skills and knowledge from highly skilled and experienced instructors to union members using cutting-edge curriculum developed at the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF). When given the abilities, information, and technology needed in today’s construction sector, the performance of the union carpenter will continue to be unmatched for many years.

Our Vision For Future Generations

Increasing the skills of our members and enabling them to do their very best work on the job is our top priority. We consider skill, safety, productivity, and attitude to be the keys to success for our members, our contractors, and our union. We are committed to providing the union and our signatory contractors a strong competitive advantage in the construction industry.
